As 2024 quickly approaches an end, new trends in the interior design world will begin to surface, and we’re here to help you navigate what’s to come! Before we dive right in, let’s pay tribute to some of our favorite trends from 2024. From beautifully textured walls and bold wallpaper to curved furniture that exudes comfort, along with earthy tones like terracotta, mustard, and brown that scream cozy—2024 was all about organic shapes, functional luxury, and layering!

If you have spent time on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, or any social media platform, you have heard the phrase “romanticize your life.” While interior design trends don’t always align with what is projected for the fashion industry or prominent social media influencers, this one is absolutely making a debut in 2025! The romantic trend is all about being intentional in your everyday life- making the mundane exciting, the meaningless meaningful, appreciating the small details in life, and making everything you do full of wonder! Basically, instead of dreaming about the prince riding in on a white horse, take your fantasy and make it a reality- at least in how you present your home!
Romantic silhouettes are a sweet nod to simplicity while infusing a touch of luxury. Think sun-drenched spaces, cozy coffee nooks, soft drapery, and warm lighting! I’ve attached some of my favorite inspiration pictures that fully embrace the romantic style!
2. Rich Tones
Muted pastels and neutral spaces will always have a place in a home, but be ready for the saturated tones to make their bold (pun intended) appearance! Color-drenching is becoming popular to make a room stand out, feel more spacious, and express character. You are sure to see dark and bold colors such as burgundy, forest green, charcoal black, chocolate brown, emerald green, and aubergine. Contrasting a bold wall color with textured fabric on furniture such as velvet, boucle, or leather is also a great way to add dimension to your space.
3. Medieval Elegance
You might think we're getting a bit out there with this one, but the medieval style is making a grand entrance in 2025. We're seeing ornate gold accents, fringe embellishments, luxurious drapery, embroidered rugs, canopy beds, grand archways, and, of course, rich jewel tones taking over the design world. While not everyone can afford a castle, you can easily incorporate a touch of medieval charm by shopping for antiques or browsing online resale platforms. This trend is definitely one to watch!

You’ve probably heard the saying, “It’s all in the details”—and that couldn’t be more true for what’s coming! 2025 will bring the perfect blend of intricate crown molding, antique gold accents, and wainscoting, alongside clean lines, bold wallpapers, and modern materials. What excites me most about this trend is how it lets interior designers craft contemporary, stylish spaces that still reflect the unique personality of the client. Maximizing is all about quantity and personal expression, achieved through layering, bold colors, texture mixing, carefully chosen statement pieces, and showcasing unique collections.
